Kerry Dinneen was raised between Scottsdale, Arizona, and Point Lookout, New York, where her connection with lifelong friends cemented her roots in the greater New York City area. After graduating from Boston College with a BA in 1990, and an MA in 1995, Kerry spent several years working at Amherst College, followed by a year sailing from Hong Kong to the Mediterranean aboard a center cockpit cruiser of Doug Peterson lineage.
Kerry then entered Fordham University School of Law, clerking at the maritime law firm of Freehill, Hogan & Mahar LLP throughout her law school educatio. She graduated with her JD in 2004, and continued working at Freehill, Hogan & Mahar until broadening her legal and litigation expertise in other practice areas such as labor and employment law, commercial, complex tort and product liability disputes throughout the country. Kerry’s litigation experience also includes consumer finance and real property litigation.
In December 2014, Kerry joined her cousin Cormac McEnery at his firm. Together, Kerry and Cormac have successfully furthered many family goals and plans, often dealing with high-conflict dynamics as well as litigation. The areas of elder law, trust and estates planning, and estate litigation balance Kerry’s experience and interests. A former volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Portland, Oregon, many issues presented in her legal work resonate with the appeal of achieving just results for her clients. The infusion of compassion and attention to her dealings with clients comports with the hallmark of the Cormac McEnery Law Firm.
